This project asked the public: What does ‘home’ mean to you?
We facilitated thousands of people, handing out 1000lbs of clay, allowing the public to create a sculpture out of clay and add it to our growing installation over the course of 6 hours during this years Nocturne event.
Installation: TUNNEL VISION
This is an interactive installation for Uncommon Common Art 2018. It is installed at the Grand Pre Winery. Lifting the tubes, you can look through them to the distance landscape, focusing on one specific spot on the horizon. This pieces moves in the wind and makes sounds when the wind is strong enough.
Coordinates: Sculptural Show
This show is based on 12 different GPS coordinates around Lunenburg, NS. All three artists involved, myself, Patricia Lindley & Philip Hodges, all went to the locations, gathered photos and inspiration. Separately, we all created our own pieces of art for each location. The pieces are displayed by GPS coordinate.
Here is another formation of my gears. I like this one, but the beautiful wood base I want to use only allowed for a straight line set up. I think I will make more...and maybe add to it!!!
installation: TEXT ME
This piece is an interactive sculpture that allows you to turn the tubes and create your own poetry for the next visitor. Originally installed in Berwick, NS for Uncommon Common Art 2017. Then moved to the SOuth Shore of NS on the Rails to Trails in Mahone Bay.
